Responding to Over-age Dependent Audits- During Postal Strike

Brothers & Sisters,

This notice is for Production , Skilled Trade members and Retiree’s who have overage dependents on their Green Shield (GSC) Coverage, that will have recently received an Audit letter asking if their over-age dependent child (Age 19 and over) , is unmarried and in full time attendance at school.

An over-age dependent child with full-time attendance at school shall remain eligible for benefit coverage until the end of the year in which he/she attains age 25. However, to maintain continuous coverage you are required to recertify eligibility of such over-aged dependents annually by responding to the Audit letter you received via mail in early September.

Due to the ongoing Postal Strike, it is highly recommended that you email your completed audit form with required documentation (as indicated below) , prior to the December 1st deadline.
