Current List of Courses
Please see the current list of courses available for the remainder of 2026. The courses for 2027 will be posted once available. Click on the link to the National website that shows available courses. All applications must be filled out and hand delivered or emailed to the Vice President’s office 1 week prior to the deadline for all courses to be processed in time for potential acceptance.
Keep in mind that courses are a privilege and not all that apply will be chosen to go. Preference will be given first to elected reps that need training followed by those that are elected to standing committees and those that attend membership meetings and help the local in other ways such as Volunteering at Union events or community events with the local. Then, if spots open up, further consideration will be given to active members from the floor to attend with support from their Committeeperson or Chairperson. Due to the high volume of applications received, it is possible that you may or may not be accepted for a course.
The caveat to the above criteria is that for the Planning For Your Future (or as some call it – the Retirement Course) – members with the most seniority will be the deciding factor as they are closest to retiring. For the upcoming PFYF course, we will be sending based on seniority those that have elected to accept the retirement incentive first prior to anyone with seniority that has not accepted the retirement incentive. That decision will be made following November 7, 2026.
