OAC Plant Chairperson & Local President Report- Recall & Job Production Bid

Brothers and Sisters,

The Company has advised that the job bid process will begin on Wednesday, April 15.

Details regarding your individual recall date and reporting time will be communicated via robo call within the next few days. In addition, relevant information—including Job Ads—will be posted on the OAC Care Site. https://azureford.sharepoint.com/sites/oevccare/

Upon your return to the plant, and in accordance with Article 15 of our Collective Agreement, the Company will identify your department, classification, and job placement. For those without an identified placement, the Company will conduct the necessary reduction and rebalance canvasses to establish a starting point.

All job-related information will be made available within each department, along with bid packages for completion and submission. Every recalled member will be provided a minimum of one week to review their options and make an informed decision before submitting their bids.

Union representation will be available in the plant throughout this process.

Your Union representatives will be on site to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure that the provisions of the Collective Agreement are fully respected and that your rights are protected every step of the way.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your recall date, please contact Labour Relations at OACER@ford.com

For those being recalled further details regarding job information and your starting point will be available upon your return.

Members not being recalled for the launch

Based on seniority, some members will unfortunately receive a robo call from the company with difficult and disappointing news indicating that they are not planned for recall at this time and therefore, will not be invited to participate in the forthcoming job bidding process.

We recognize that this news will be very hard for many of you and your families. Although you may not be recalled for the launch, you will retain seniority callback rights accordingly with our collective agreement.

Please also know that, through amendments put forward earlier this year, we have prioritized the return of all our members. Your Local Ford Council bargaining committee will be entering into negotiations with the company this year with that priority in mind.

In Solidarity,

Jason Del Buono
