2025 Terry Fox Run- Join the Unifor Local 707 Team – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14, 2025

Brothers and Sisters,

Since 1981, the annual Terry Fox Run has become a fall tradition, ingrained in our Canadian culture, with more than 650 communities, big and small, urban and rural, English and French, fundraising for cancer research.

Almost all of us, personally, through family, friends or co-workers have felt the horrible impact of this disease. To participate in this years 45th Terry Fox Run, we are once again moved our General Membership Meeting from the 3rd Sunday to September 7th. To continue our own new Local 707 tradition on the 3rd Sunday in September and see us collectively participating as a team in the Oakville Terry Fox Run.

Last year, our Unifor Local 707 team proudly took part in the 44th annual Terry Fox Run in Oakville, with 18 dedicated participants raising over $7,900 for cancer research — thanks to the incredible support of 160 individual donors

This year we are starting early in hopes that more members and their family will join our Unifor Local 707 team.

The Terry Fox Run in Oakville (2K, 5K or 10K) is more than just a walk or run. It’s a chance to challenge yourself physically, set a new personal goal, and raise funds for life-saving cancer research — a cause that touches all of us.

Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, every step counts. Why not set a personal fitness goal — or challenge a coworker or family member to do the same? Together, we can support each other, push our limits, and honor Terry’s incredible legacy of determination and hope.
