Brothers and Sisters,

I am happy to report, this week we welcomed back the Skilled Trades. The last eight weeks have been unprecedented times, never before have we experienced anything like this.

After lengthy discussions with the company, I ensured that Skilled Trades were able to return to work as safely as possible. Once they returned, I am proud to say they were both professional and diligent in there work, going above and beyond to make this plant safe for everyone’s return.

On May 25th, production workers will be returning back to work and I hope they will see the hard work completed by the Local 707 Skilled Trades to ensure their environment is safe.

As your Skilled Trades Chairperson, I will continue to work towards keeping OAC a safe workplace for everyone, so that at the end of the day, we can all return home safe to our families.

In Solidarity,

Darrin Caerels
Unifor Local 707, Skilled Trades Chairperson
