Benefit Audits

For those who retire on a Commuted Value Pension where you take the entire amount of your pension out of the Ford system to manage the money how you choose, this post is most likely for you specifically.

We have had an abundance of our retired members who have taken the CV Pension calling in over the last 4 weeks. These calls are likely set to continue until those who have not needed an eye exam, dental visit, doctor appointment or prescription go to file your claims and wonder – “WHY HAVE MY BENEFITS BEEN TERMINATED?”

Every 2 years, Ford Benefit Centre sends an audit to those on CV pensions. It is important for you to fill out and send back in upon completion. Following sending the notice 2 times, Ford indicated on both notices that they would be cutting off your benefits if you do not reply to the audit letter.

The original audit was mailed out in October 2024 and if it was not filled out, your benefits would have been cut off effectively on March 1, 2025.

This can be corrected. It is not the end of the world. That said, you will need to reach out to the Ford Benefit Centre to re-establish your benefits. This will not be corrected within a day, a week or in some cases a month. It takes time to get everyone back on to the system and if you have missed the deadline for the current month, you will be required to wait until they send in the list at the end of the following month. So please reach out to the Benefit Centre to get it corrected ASAP!

It is imperative that you get the forms and filled out and sent back in ASAP if you have not already done so.

For the most part, I am able to help with the majority of retirees benefits and am happy to do so. This time around, I am not able to talk to Ford Benefits on your behalf. It is the responsibility of the member to reach out to inquire with Ford regarding your audit. Easy enough – Use the below contact number or email and reach out to them for assistance!
