We are getting ready for Sunday September 20, 2026 and sending out a final call to invite our members to show up and show support as we once again participate as a Union to raise awareness for Cancer research. We would love to see as many members join us as possible.

Since 1981, the annual Terry Fox Run has become a fall tradition, ingrained in our Canadian culture, with more than 650 communities, big and small, urban and rural, English and French, fundraising for cancer research.
Almost all of us, personally, through family, friends or co-workers have felt the horrible impact of this disease.
To participate in this years 46th Terry Fox Run, we are once again moved our General Membership Meeting from the 3rd Sunday to September 27th. This will allow us to continue our Local 707 tradition on the 3rd Sunday in September and see us collectively participating as a team in the Oakville Terry Fox Run.
Last year, our Unifor Local 707 team proudly took part in the 45th annual Terry Fox Run in Oakville, raising over $4,800 for cancer research — thanks to the incredible support of our members, friends and family.
This year we are starting early in hopes that more members and their family will join our Unifor Local 707 team.
The Terry Fox Run in Oakville (2K, 5K or 10K) is more than just a walk or run. It’s a chance to challenge yourself physically, set a new personal goal, and raise funds for life-saving cancer research — a cause that touches all of us.
Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, every step counts. Why not set a personal fitness goal — or challenge a coworker or family member to do the same? Together, we can support each other, push our limits, and honor Terry’s incredible legacy of determination and hope.

1426 Lakeshore Road West, Near Third Line
Run, Jog, Walk, Bike or Rollerblade (Note: Wheelchair Accessibility)
Routes are: 2km, 5km and 10 km
