ONLINE EDUCATION FOR UNIFOR AUTO WORKERS!

The Unifor-McMaster University Labour Studies Program is designed for Unifor auto workers. As a Unifor member working at GM, Ford or Stellantis, you can take online education from the comfort of your home, with fellow auto workers around the province, and work towards a university certificate. Why not try a course? No cost to our members, fees covered through a funding arrangement with Unifor.

Join us to discuss how to get through this uncertainty by learning strategies to build resilience, protect our mental health, and support each other. Autoworkers Movie Night (pt. 3) 2 sessions; Feb 12,19The documentary ‘Final Offer”, now 40 years old, follows the intense negotiations between the Canadian auto workers union and GM. We will watch the film together over two nights and discuss the relevance of the issues discussed in the film today for autoworkers. **Registration for this course opens Jan 19, closes Feb 6

US Imperialism in Latin America: Corporate Exploitation, Coups, and Worker Fight Back  4 sessions;  May 21, 28, June 18, 25The recent US aggression towards Latin America is not new and predates Trump. The US has a long history of economic, political, and military imperialism in Latin America. This course will discuss this history, as well as the tradition of worker fight back against US domination in Latin America. **Registration for this course opens April 27, closes May 15
