Brothers & Sisters,
Today, our Local built on last years efforts to aid our communities with our 2nd annual Unifor Local 707 Coldest Night of the Year walk which raised funds to support Food for Life – Halton and Hamilton’s leading food rescue and food security charity that helps redirect a surplus of healthy foods to the communities and people who are in need.
A Special Thank you goes to Nichole Brennan who organized the February 28th event and to all those who contributed in the walk or donated.
This year, even more members participated and we collectively raised $4321.00, which exceeds last years walk, almost doubling our original target. These continued efforts are truly appreciated by those in need and make a measurable difference in our communities.
In Solidarity,
Mark Sciberras
President, Unifor Local 707
