EI Application -Without Reference Code

Brothers and Sisters,

Unfortunately, Service Canada has recently limited the use of reference codes to temporary or short term lay-offs. During our retool period, Service Canada has indicated they will not be providing any further EI reference codes.

Note: All previous EI Reference codes that our Local were using have now expired.

As a result, any member applying for EI on or after May 11th, 2024 will have to complete an application without a reference code.

For guidelines on how to complete your EI application without a reference code, see attached link.
