Brothers and Sisters,

As of March 1, 2024, 600 members of Unifor Local 673 and Local 240 working at Green Shield Canada in the Toronto and Windsor offices have initiated strike action for improved wages, job security and have withdrawn their labour from Green Shield Canada.

This is the first strike in the company’s history, and will interrupt services at GSC.

The 1-888-711-1119 GSC phone line is currently suspended and unattended, as well as their email system which will be held in the queue and not attended to due to the strike.

Unifor Local 707 supports Locals 240 and 673, joining with other Unifor Locals recommending the employer Green Shield Canada return to the bargaining table and bargain in good faith a fair and equitable collective agreement to resolve this labour dispute.
