Sleeping in a car can make for one of the longest nights of your life. It’s uncomfortable, difficult and cold.

A handful of Local 707 members will join others in the community for the United Way Halton & Hamilton’s Sleepless in Our Cities to raise funds, while spending a night sleeping in our car.

As a result of COVID-19, more people are now on the edge of crisis, facing significant barriers such as unemployment and poverty. Individuals, families and neighbours have been pushed to the limits, and the social sector is being stretched beyond its capacity to serve them.
You can make a difference by spending the night in your car and fundraising money to support those in need. The event is planned for February 25th to 26th and more details can be found here:

You can help by doing one of two things:

  1. You can donate to one of 707 members already signed up – Shauna Thorne-Zarin, Michelle Taylor, Sarah Cox, Maiken Griffen, Luke Alphonso and Brett Lefebre

**All pledges for a participant are doubled. **

Your donation will be matched up to $50,000, further adding to the impact you are making.

OR

  • You can sign up and participate yourself
