Every February, people in Canada are invited to participate in Black History Month festivities and events that honour the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. Black History Month acknowledges the accomplishments and heritage of the Black Community around the world. Our workplace is a very diverse workplace that has members of many different nationalities, creeds and colours. The workers of colour from our workplace have been long a vital part of our success.

The 2021 theme for Black History Month is: “The Future is Now”.

“The Future is Now” is a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the transformative work that Black Canadians and their communities are doing now.

We will update this page throughout the month of February to include video, thoughts and comments from members as well as leadership to give different perspectives as to how Black History month is celebrated amongst our peers.
