Bargaining Update #5

Unifor members,
This is to advise that National President Jerry Dias’ scheduled news conference at 3:00 p.m. ET today has been moved to 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday September 22, 2020.
Negotiations continue to progress with Ford Motor Company in advance of the bargaining deadline set for 11:59 p.m. tonight.
The Unifor Local and Master Bargaining Committees are working diligently to achieve the union’s priority items, with talks over the past number of days starting very early in the morning and ending late into the night.
Despite some progress on various items, the union and company continue to focus talks on the key areas, including on job security, wages, benefits and pensions, among others.
We intend to issue another update to members on the status of talks at some point later this afternoon or evening, prior to the bargaining deadline.
Members at Ford Motor Company facilities shall continue to work their assigned shifts until the union provides further notice.
Please be sure to visit www.unifor.org/AutoTalks2020 for official bargaining updates and information.
