Unifor donates $150,000 to help Ukraine and you can help too

Greetings,

The incredible strength and determination the people of Ukraine have shown in the face of the Putin-led invasion has been an inspiration to the world. We must come together and show solidarity and support. Unifor, with our global union friends, has called for an end to the invasion and expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine. We strongly condemn the war, which hits people and workers first, and call for dialogue, peace, and democracy.

Unifor’s donation to the Red Cross consists of $100,000 from the Social Justice Fund, $25,000 from the national union, $5,000 from Quebec Council and from each of the Atlantic, Ontario, Prairie and British Columbia regional councils to assist with its humanitarian efforts in the Ukraine.

Unifor will continue to assess the situation including additional solidarity with organizations working on the ground delivering humanitarian aid in the coming weeks.

DONATE NOW Unifor locals and members that wish to donate to the Red Cross to show their support for the people of Ukraine can do so by clicking here.
