About Us

Our History

OAC - First Car 1953
Unifor Local 707 has been there since the first car came off the line at OAC in 1953.

Unifor Local 707 is an amalgamated local union. We are the bargaining unit for Ford Oakville Assembly Complex (soon to be the Ontario Electric Vehicle Complex OEVC) hourly workers, Leadec hourly workers and MPS workers located at OAC.  We are located in Oakville Ontario, representing Production and Skilled Trades workers who most recently produced the Ford Edge, Ford Flex, Lincoln Nautillus, and the Lincoln MKT. And we proudly represent more than 3000 retired workers. While also supporting 108 members of Leadec Industrial Services and 4 MPS on-site workers who operate the new Waste Water Treatment facility. Unifor Local 707 recently celebrated our 71st anniversary representing men and women from all parts of Ontario.
