Local 707 Bargaining Update #3 & 4

Brothers & Sisters,

We would like to start off by thanking our membership for their continued support and solidarity throughout this important set of negotiations.  As we approach our contract deadline of Monday September 21st at 11:59pm the frequency of meetings, intensity and substance of conversation at each of the bargaining tables has increased.  As we continue to push the Ford Motor Company to recognize the hard work and sacrifice our members have made, we remain focused on making overall improvements and gains for our entire membership. A major focus of all our discussions, continues to be our steadfast desire to secure a real meaningful investment in the Oakville Assembly Plant and our collective future.

As everyone is aware, we are still dealing with the challenges of covid-19. As such our ratification meeting and vote will be online. We are asking our members to sign up by email to receive the information necessary for you to participate. We have had a good response to this point, with more than 1,800 members signing up.  However, we want our entire membership to be able to exercise their democratic rights. Therefore, if you have not already done so, please register by Wednesday Sept 16th.  All you need to do is send an email to UNIFORFORD2020@GMAIL.COM
