Unifor Local 707 Food drive

Brothers & Sisters,

On Sunday’s September 8th meeting, the membership passed a motion that our Local provide $4000.00 to the Oakville Fairshare Food bank in the absence of our Thanksgiving and Christmas gate food drives.

This will replace most of the funds traditionally provided by our membership at our two gate collections at Oakville Assembly Complex and help the community we either work or live in.

For members that are able, and wish contribute non-perishable food items, we will provide space in the Unifor Action Centre to do so from September 8th through to October 6th and then take to the Oakville Fareshare Food bank just prior to Thanksgiving.

See attached Notice (below) for Food Items needed and link to their website for those wishing volunteer at the Oakville Fairshare Foodbank or donate directly www.oakvillefoodbank.com

If you would rather donate or volunteer at a foodbank or community outreach centre where you live, please see attached websites of those that our Local has previously supported.
