Remembrance Day & Royal Canadian legion Poppy Campaign Friday October 30th & November 6th

As Remembrance day approaches in the next few weeks, we recognize the importance of freedom and sacrifice.

On Remembrance Day, we honour the brave men and women who served our country, remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and thank all veterans and their families for their service.

Their sacrifices inspire us to value and uphold our rights every day. We will never forget them.

This year, the Royal Canadian Legion, Oakville Branch 114, will be on site at Oakville Assembly Complex for their 2026 Annual Poppy Campaign on Friday October 30th and November 6th, 2026, from 12:00 PM  to 2:00 PM at Gates 2, 4 and 12.

Please support their Campaign by purchasing a poppy in honour of Remembrance Day on Wednesday, November 11th, 2026, and recognize the efforts of the men and women who have served our country during times of war, conflict and peace by observing a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m, on November 11th.

Each year, Local 707 honours the memory of those who served and sacrificed by purchasing a wreath from the Royal Canadian Legion to be laid at the annual Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Oakville Cenotaph on George Street.

2026 Oakville Remembrance Day Ceremony

  • Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
  • Time: Parade leaves Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre, 325 Reynolds Street, at 10:30 a.m. for George’s Square, where the ceremony follows.

Let us never take our freedoms for granted.

We remember. We honour. Lest we forget.
