Brothers & Sisters
As explained last year and in years past, all Outstanding Vacation hours pay out in PP50 each year.
If you had outstanding vacation then the company will allocate the vacation accordingly.
They allocate 40 hours or fraction thereof to each future week and do not pay IMP or SUB.
A week that has less than 24 hours vacation pay may be subject to a top up of SUB or IMP.
Any top up required for PP50 is being addressed this week and should pay on your next cheque.
For Example:
Example 1
You had 88 hours outstanding vacation.
You will receive 3 payments December 11, 2025.
40 hour, 40 hours and 8 hours.
The company will allocate 40 hours to PP50, 40 hours to PP51 and 8 hours to PP52.
You will not receive a deposit December 18, 2025 (for PP51 – 40 hours allocated).
You will not receive a deposit December 24, 2025 (for PP52 – 8 hours allocated).
Your next deposit December 31, 2025 (for PP53 should be normal SUB or EI with the top up for PP52).
Example 2
You had 20 hours vacation remaining.
You will receive 1 payment December 11, 2025.
Top up is being addressed this week.
Your next deposit December 18, 2025 should be normal SUB or IMP plus the adjustment for PP50
