Dec 6th -Presidents Message- Bill 173- Petition to declare intimate partner violence an epidemic

Brother & Sisters,

As today is December 6th, National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence against Women, I felt it was important and appropriate to share this very important petition with you. If you could take a couple of minutes to read & sign, it would be truly appreciated.

Victims of intimate partner violence, often live in fear and isolation and feel they have limited or no options to change their circumstances. As a result, we all need to make a concerted effort to ensure anyone trapped in this cycle of violence have the opportunity and ability to change their life-threatening circumstances and that our provincial government provide essential resources to end this epidemic.

After signing the petition, spend another couple of minutes sharing with friends and family, encouraging them to do the same, as real change requires your involvement.

In Solidarity,

Mark Sciberras

President, Unifor Local 707
