National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Saturday September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation also known as Orange Shirt Day.

This day honours the survivors of the residential schools, the children who never returned home and the families, friends and communities affected by this tragedy.

We at Local 707 will be selling Orange Shirts for $5 each with all monies raised being donated to the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre.

All extra donations will gladly be accepted as well.

Shirts can be purchased at the union hall for $5 – see Janet Creet for details
