Dear Sisters and Brothers of Unifor Local 707,

As you are aware, our union is negotiating a renewal of the collective agreement with Ford Motor Company. This note is to advise you that a union meeting will take place on Sunday September 27th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. ET, and that you are encouraged to attend.

This meeting will be hosted online, through the Zoom platform, and will serve as a ratification meeting (since a tentative settlement has been reached with Ford on Tuesday September 22, 2020) .

The ratification meeting will provide you with a full overview of the changes contained in the tentative settlement. As of 8:00 a.m. on Sunday September 27th, you will also be able to download a comprehensive summary of the contract changes at www.unifor.org/AutoTalks2020 for review.

Here are your instructions to participate in the online meeting:

Zoom Client for Meetings or the Zoom app can be downloaded to your PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet at www.zoom.us/download. You do not require a Zoom account to participate in this meeting. If you do not have a Zoom account, you will be prompted to enter your full name and email address upon joining the meeting. Please use your full name so that moderators can identify you during the question and answer period. If you have an existing Zoom account, please ensure you update your account to reflect your name. A Meeting ID and Passcode have been sent to all of our members either via mail or email.

As a union member, you will be eligible to vote on the tentative settlement. Due to public health guidelines and restrictions on public gatherings, ratification votes will be held electronically. Ratification votes will take place on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. and will close at 10:59 a.m. on Monday, September 28th, 2020 ET. Results will be made public September 28th, after all vote counts have been determined.

Canadian firm Simply Voting Inc. has been hired as the independent third-party voting provider. In order to ensure privacy, ballots will be encrypted and stored anonymously on Simply Voting’s Canadian servers. Unifor will not be able to access your ballot or voting receipt. Ratification results will be certified by Simply Voting. You are responsible for casting your vote before voting closes on Monday September 28th at 10:59 a.m. ET.
