The AWOC committee along with UNIFOR National union will be recognizing July 31st as the Day of Action for racial injustice. The Day of Action is a call to advocate for change within our society when it comes to confronting systemic racism.

Society needs to acknowledge that despite progress, many barriers still exist and it’s important that as a community and a union that we continue to fight in solidarity and support and encourage real societal change.

There will be t-shirts available at the Learning Centre on July 31st throughout the day.

On behalf of the entire AWOC Committee,

Constance Brown

AWOC Committee Chair
