Unifor Local 707 Movember Campaign

This November, members of Unifor Local 707 are banding together to raise funds and awareness in the annual Movember campaign.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. It addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.

This program finds and funds the most innovative research to have both a global and local impact. Movember continuously challenges the status quo, and invests quickly in what works. In 15 years they’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world.

By 2030 the goal is do reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.

Members are encouraged to raise funds and participate by growing a mustache for 30 days, complete some physical activity (ex: 60km of walking/running or biking over the course of the month), or participate in another form of group awareness.

Please join us by logging in and creating an account (Team name “Unifor Local 707” on https://ca.movember.com/team/2321690 ) or donate in support of men’s health.

The members of Local 707 are dedicating this campaign to our brothers,  friends and family of all those we have lost to prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other men’s illnesses, as well as those who have championed over them.
